Isabelle A. Lafler is a Legal Assistant at the Law Office of James L. Riotto and joined the firm in 2021.

In 2021 she graduated, from Mercyhurst University with a BA in Criminal Justice with a concentration in pre-law and minor in Psychology of Crime and Justice. To further enhance her education, she attended John Jay University to earn her Master’s degree in Criminal Justice, with a specialization in criminology.

While pursuing her degrees, Isabelle actively applied her knowledge to various facets of her school organizations and beyond.  Notably, she assumed the role of President for the Student Alliance for Prison Reform, where she advocated for incarcerated individuals and reform initiatives.  Additionally, she was an active member of Alpha Phi Sigma, a distinguished criminal justice honor society.

Isabelle’s previous roles as a bank teller and credit specialist equipped her with extensive experience in customer relations and data analysis.  She uses these skills considerably to assist clients charged with financial crimes, misdemeanors and felonies, by providing detailed support to the attorney.  Isabelle routinely conducts legal research, provides client updates, and drafts legal documents for the firm.

Isabelle is a licensed New York State Notary Public.
